I hold a Heisenberg position at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Bonn, where I am a member of the Analysis and PDE group. I am also an MPI-CBG Fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden.
My research interests lie mainly in arithmetic combinatorics, ergodic theory, and harmonic analysis, where I am particularly interested in the subject of higher-order Fourier analysis. I also have a long-standing interest in Boolean-valued logic and Boolean toposes, especially regarding their applications in measure theory and related areas.
I am always interested in supervising students at all levels. For details on applying to Bonn's mathematics graduate program, see this page.
